Woman’s body discovered in Howth harbour

Gardaí have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

THE BODY OF a woman has been found in the sea at Howth in north Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances but have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

An intensive ground, sea and air search began around Howth Head at 1am this morning following reports of a missing person. The search, involving Howth Coast Guard, Dublin Fire Brigade, Howth Lifeboat and other emergency services, found the body shortly before 8am.

The name of the woman will not be released until relatives have been informed.
