Body found in Kildare field

Gardaí are investigating whether the body of a man discovered in a Co Kildare field is that of a missing Dublin father.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING whether the body of a man that was found in a field in Co Kildare is that of a Dublin man who was reported missing two months ago.

The body was found by a farmer this morning and has been removed for a post mortem examination, RTÉ reports. There were no visible signs of injury on the body.

Although no formal identification has been made, gardaí are investigating whether the remains might belong to Jason O’Dea from Buckingham Street, Dublin. O’Dea, a father-of-one, was homeless and was known to have suffered from a drug problem. He went missing on 29 November.

The post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow.
