Body of a man found close to Kilkenny city centre

The discovery took place at 11.30am this morning in the Blackquarry area of the city.

A BODY of a man has been found in Kilkenny city.

The discovery took place at 11.30am this morning in the Blackquarry area of the city.

The man is said to have been in his late twenties.

His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post mortem is due to take place tomorrow, but it is believed the death may have been drug related.

Gardaí are not treating the incident as suspicious.
