Gardaí investigating discovery of man's body in Waterford house

The body of the 47-year-old was found in a house on Alexander Street in the city this evening.

GARDAI IN WATERFORD have opened an investigation into the death of a 47-year-old man in the city.

The man’s remains were discovered in a house on Alexander Street, at about 7:40pm this evening.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were removed to the mortuary at Waterford Regional Hospital.

The house in which the man’s body was found has been sealed off for technical examinations. The State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem is due tomorrow.
