Gardaí open investigation after body found in Laois

The body of a 48-year-old man was discovered at a house in Ballickmoyler.

GARDAÍ IN PORTLAOISE are investigating the discovery of a man’s body at a house in Ballickmoyler last night.

The 48-year-old was found dead in the front room of a house at about 8pm.

The scene has been preserved and the services of the State Pathologist requested. Gardaí said no further information is available presently. It is not yet clear how long the remains were in the property before they were discovered.
