Body pulled from Lough Foyle

The remains were discovered last night by two women walking along the shore, according to reports.

GARDAÍ HAVE BEGUN an investigation after a body was pulled from Lough Foyle.

The remains were discovered last night in the inlet, which lies between Donegal and Derry south of the Inishowen peninsula.

The investigation is being led by gardaí in Moville, Co Donegal. However, it is not yet known whether the death is regarded as suspicious.

It’s understood the body had been in the water for some time before its discovery.

The Donegal Daily reports that the discovery was made by two women out walking near Redcastle on the shore of the lake, and that investigators are not yet sure whether it is that of a man or a woman.
