The Hendrick’s Gin ‘Pavilion of the Peculiar' stage looks set to amaze festival-goers at Body & Soul

The iconic gin producer has curated a highly-eccentric stage for this weekend’s Body & Soul festival, which takes place in Ballinlough Castle, Co. Meath, this weekend.

FESTIVAL SEASON IS in full swing, and while we can’t guarantee you won’t get soaked listening to your favourite music this summer, we’re pretty confident that you’ll have a great time at the amazing festivals that happen in Ireland.

Up next on the calendar is Body & Soul, an annual highlight of the festival scene. As ever, a huge focus is on the best music Ireland has to offer, with Kojaque, Denise Chaila, and Gemma Dunleavy all performing, alongside a host of international acts.

Also appearing at Body & Soul will be the hugely popular Hendrick’s Gin, who recently announced their ‘Pavilion of the Peculiar’ bar and stage area at this year’s festival. A curated lineup of acts and drinks is sure to wow attendees, as will the eye-catching stage, which will be covered in roses and cucumbers and even includes a human-size birdcage.

Hendrick’s eccentricity extends beyond their gin’s taste, with the Scottish brand known for creating immersive and imaginative experiences that transport you to a world of whimsy and wonder. ‘Pavilion of the Peculiar’ is the latest example of the eccentric thinking from the Scottish drinks maker that will help create long-lasting memories for all festival-goers.

The line-up for the cosy and intimate stage will include novelty acts such as Monsieur Pompier’s Travelling Freakshow, music acts like DJ Duke Special’s Gramophone Club and DJ Sally Cinnamon, as well as opera singer Ross Scanlon. Hand-picked by the Hendrick’s team, all performers appearing are renowned for their unique blend of creativity and artistry.

Accompanying the stellar lineup of acts will be an equally impressive drinks menu. Each of the cocktails was created by the Hendrick’s bartender team, who designed a delicious and varied selection of refreshing cocktails for the 3-day festival.

The menu includes:

● ‘A Peculiar Margarita’ made with Hendrick’s Neptunia, Lime, Agave, Jalapeno Fever Tree Mexican Lime Soda

● ‘An Unusual Spritz’ created using Hendrick’s Lunar, Lillet Blanc, Orange Blossom, Fever Tree Soda

● ‘The Midsummer Spritz’ created using Hendrick’s Flora Adora, Blackberry, Lemon, Mint, Fever Tree Soda.

Speaking on Hendrick’s presence at Body and Soul, the Hendrick’s Gin ambassador to Ireland, Suzy Cody, said, “We are so excited to be part of Body and Soul this year and be serving the most delicious Hendrick’s Gin drinks all weekend. Hendrick’s Gin looks like gin, but it is an escape to all things refreshingly curious, with undercurrents of crisp cucumber and wisps of rose.

Every sip will refresh your senses and remind you that it is always worthwhile to seek the unusual. For those curious enough to try, we’ll be serving an array of refreshing gin & tonics, and gin-based cocktails. All while enjoying an array of exciting acts on the Hendrick’s stage.”

Body and Soul Festival runs from Friday 16th – Sunday 18th of June 2023. ‘Pavilion of the Peculiar’ opening hours will be from 5pm – 2am on Friday and 12pm – 2am Saturday and 12pm – 1am on Sunday. Prices of drinks will range from €8 – €9.
