Body taken from River Liffey

The body of a man in his 30s was pulled from the water in the early hours of this morning.

THE BODY OF a man was taken from the River Liffey in Dublin city in the early hours of this morning, after he entered the water last night.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was seen in the water near Grattan Bridge shortly before 8pm last night.

At around 4.30am today his body was taken from the river by members of Dublin Fire Brigade.

Gardaí said a coroner’s investigation will take place but no foul play is suspected at this stage.
