Bomb found in Dublin's Dunsink Lane

The Army Bomb Disposal Team says the device was made safe just after midnight last night.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN discovered a suspicious device in Dunsink Lane at around 10.40pm last night.

The Army Bomb Disposal Team was called to the scene and made the device safe there, before removing it for further analysis.

The team described the item as a viable improvised explosive device (IED) – the 27th such device made safe by the army this year.

The scene was declared safe at 12.25 am.

Gardaí are investigating the incident.
