DOWN, BOY! There may be a deal of kite-flying going on in Ireland ahead of October’s Budget Day but in Bristol, the activity was much more welcome this week (and definitely more fun).

The Bristol International Kite Festival in England is one of Europe’s largest kite events. These are no ordinary two-sticks-and-a-plastic-bag kites though – check out some of the designs that got airborne at this year’s spectacular:
