After the birth of Charlotte, here's the new list of people in line for the British throne

Sorry, Harry.

PRINCESS CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH Diana, new baby daughter of William and Kate, was born fourth in line to inherit the British throne, behind her big brother Prince George.

And the instant she was born on Saturday, everyone below her moved down a place, including William’s brother Prince Harry.

Barring abdications or conversions to Roman Catholicism, she would only inherit the throne if George died before her without leaving legitimate children.

Here’s the updated immediate line of succession to the British throne:

The offspring of their father King George VI’s siblings come after that.

There are more than 60 living people descended from his father King George V, who died in 1936.
