POSITIONED ON THE south-facing slopes of Crownarad Mountain and with undisturbed sea views, Bumblebee Cottage in Co Donegal looks as if it has come straight out of a fairy tale.

The two-bed property was extensively refurbished in 2016 and 2017 to enhance both its interior and exterior. As part of the refurbishments, Bumblebee Cottage was re-thatched with the support of the Heritage Council.
Inside, the charm of many of its original characteristics has been retained. A hardwood door leads to the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, where there’s reclaimed oak flooring throughout. Outside, there’s a picnic table to the front of the cottage overlooking the sea’s picturesque views. Killybegs town is less than a 10-minute drive away, while a primary school and GAA club are both just a 15-minute walk from the property.
