Man who burgled five homes in one hour arrested after car chase

The 21-year-old is due before Naas District Court this morning.

A 21-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested in connection with at least five burglaries in the space of an hour last night.

The burglaries took place between 6 and 7pm in the Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

A black Saab car was spotted leaving the scene, and was later spotted by Gardaí in Naas, Co Kildare.

Following a pursuit from Gardaí, the man was arrested after the car crashed in the Sallins area.

Two others may have escaped from the vehicle.

The man, also charged with dangerous driving, is due before Naas District Court this morning.
