Man in his 90s attacked during rural burglary

This happened shortly after 8pm last night.

AN ELDERLY MAN has endured a terrifying ordeal after a group of men attacked him at the house where he was staying in Co Meath.

This aggravated burglary happened at around 8.15pm last night in the area of Balrath.

The man – aged in his early 90s – was at home with two other men aged in their 60s when the raid happened.

Four masked men burst into the property.

They are described as each being around 6ft tall and wearing dark clothes with peaked caps and scarves.

The thieves made off with a small amount of cash.
