Two men arrested after burglary and fire at Chief Whip's office

The men were also arrested in connection with a similar incident at a solicitor’s office in New Ross.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with burglaries and fires at two commercial offices in New Ross Co Wexford early this morning, including the constituency office of government Chief Whip Paul Kehoe.

It is understood that the second premises targeted by the two men was a solicitor’s office in the town.

Both offices were ransacked and small fires were lit inside each property – in one case in the boiler room of the building – but were quickly brought under control by emergency services.

Gardaí confirmed that two men, aged 21 and 33, were detained in New Ross today and are being held for questioning in connection with the incidents.
