Bus overturns in Belfast, injuring 30 people

Six ambulances attended the scene near Belfast’s Central Station after a double-decker bus overturned.

MORE THAN 30 people have been injured after a double-decker bus overturned near Central Station in Belfast this afternoon.

The injured have been taken to four separate hospitals in the city, BBC reports. It is understood that nobody sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident, however the bus driver had to be cut out of the vehicle by emergency workers.

The accident occurred at approximately 2pm on the Albertbridge Road, the Guardian reports. Six ambulances attended the scene.

The Albertbridge Road and Oxford Street have been closed off.
