Busáras bus station in Dublin Laura Hutton/Photocall Ireland

Poll: Does Dublin need a second bus station?

The Green Party has called for a new bus station that would be open to private operators.

A CALL HAS been made for a second bus station to be established in Dublin to deal with buses coming from the west of the country.

The Green Party has said this station could be based near Heuston Station and opened up to private operators. But Bus Éireann believes customers want to travel directly into the city centre – and that the Busáras station at Store Street is sufficient.

Today, we ask: Does Dublin need a second bus station?
