Take a look around.

A HOTEL IN Kilkenny has won an international luxury travel award.

Butler House was named Unique Luxury Hotel of the Year by the Luxury Travel Guide.

Nominees across various categories are shortlisted before voting is opened to the guide’s half a million subscribers each year.

Earlier in the week, Dunbrody Country House Hotel in Co Wexford was voted the world’s best Luxury Country House Hotel.

In a statement, Butler House’s manager Gabrielle Hickey said the awards “represent the pinnacle of hospitality achievement” and “to come out on top is truly an achievement we are very proud of”.

We are delighted that recognition like this for Butler House is a further endorsement of Kilkenny’s high reputation in the tourism industry.

I heard that the Gardaí knocked down the horse on purpose as it was so dangerous. The horse had previously bit one of the Gardaí. Rip. GSOC are at the scene.
