Man takes heat scan of his bum, turns it into fancy pirate map

Imgur user PaulChanel liked his butt-scan so much he commissioned the map from a professional designer in the UK.

MANY OF US have indulged in the odd pirate fantasy, something akin to Pirates of the Caribbean with cutlasses, jolly rogers and Long John Silver types floating about the place.

This man, Imgur user PaulChanel, has taken things a step further and created a sort of pirate treasure map from a heat scan of his own rear end:

To explain, PaulChanel is a wheelchair-user who has such a heat scan every time he is fitted for a new chair – to ensure the seat is as comfortable as possible.

He liked the look of his latest scan so much that he sent it to UK map designer David Atkinson of Hand Made Maps, and this is the result:

The Island of Gravelous Butticus (Gravel being PaulChanel’s nickname) as it is known has some slightly, well, tongue-in-cheek elements shall we say.

Still, how many of us can say we’ve had a body part turned into a treasure map?
