IT’S DAY 19. There’s only 72 hours left until polls open – here’s what’s happening today.

  • Fine Gael’s Simon Harris, Fianna Fáil’s Micheál Martin and Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald will battle it out in the final leaders’ debate of the election on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.
  • Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald and several other candidates are visiting Liberty Recycling in Dublin at 11.30am.
  • Independent candidate in the competitive Dublin Central constituency Clare Daly will be outlining “her vision for Dublin Central and views on wider political issues” in Ballybough at 2.30pm.
  • Social Democrats justice spokesperson Catherine Murphy and fellow candidate Pádraig Rice are launching the party’s workers’ rights policy in Cork at 11am.
  • Labour’s transport spokesperson Duncan Smith and candidate Rob O’Donoghue are due to discuss the party’s plan for decarbonising transport and investing in reliable public transport at 10.30am in Swords.
  • Minister for Finance Jack Chambers will be setting out Fianna Fáil’s “priorities to safeguard our economy from international shocks and outline Cost of Living measures to support families, workers and businesses” in Dublin at noon.
  • Green Party leader Roderic O’Gorman and a number of Green TDs will be outlining their climate action priorities and “their central climate question for the person who aspires to be the country’s next Taoiseach” at 11am in Dublin city.
