Man arrested after 150 cannabis plants found in Wicklow house

He has now been released without charge.

A MAN WAS arrested after 150 cannabis plants were seized during the search of a house in Wicklow.

The search was carried out yesterday afternoon at a house at Cherrymount, Avoca.

Approximately 150 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €120,000 were seized – along with a large amount of hydroponic/cultivation equipment.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at scene and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station.

He has now been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
