Tipperary cannabis factory uncovered by gardaí

More than 1,500 plants were seized by gardaí searching a business premises in Tipperary over the weekend.

GARADÍ IN TIPPERARY have seized cannabis plants with the estimated street value of €900,000 after searching a business premises on Main Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

More than 1,500 plants were uncovered on the premises, which gardaí say was being used as a sophisticated growing factory with extensive lighting, heat and ventilation systems. A large amount of cultivation materials were also found on the premises.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
