Four arrested after cannabis seizure in Galway

Gardaí discovered two grow houses during searches in the Oranmore and Mervue areas of Galway.

TWO CANNABIS GROWHOUSES have been found in Galway.

Gardaí discovered them during ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of cannabis.

As part of their investigations, gardaí carried out searches at two addresses in the Oranmore and Mervue areas of Galway yesterday, Saturday 14 July.

During the operation the two grow houses were discovered, while cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €730,000 (pending analysis) were seized.

Gardaí arrested four males, three aged in their 20s and one in his 30s. They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Galway Garda Station.
