Man arrested as 500 cannabis plants found at 'sophisticated' grow house

The drugs have an estimated street value of €400,000.

A MAN HAS BEEN arrested after a cannabis grow house was uncovered by the Garda National Drugs Unit, assisted by the Ballyfermot and Clondalkin Drugs Units, yesterday in Dublin.

The 30-year-old is being detained at Clondalkin garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.

The drugs were found as part after a search of a commercial premises at Crag Terrace, Clondalkin Industrial Estate.

Gardai recovered around 500 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €400,000 (subject to analysis). A sophisticated cultivation system was in operation at the location.
