TWO MEN HAVE been charged in relation to €1.2 million worth of cannabis resin seized by gardaí in Dublin yesterday.

The cannabis resin weighing 210kg was seized in an operation targeting organised crime in Dublin.

Two men, aged in their 40s and 20s, were arrested yesterday. Gardaí said they have since been charged and are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning. 

Gardaí attached to the National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau intercepted two vehicles in the Brittas area of Co Dublin and searched a business premises in the Tallaght area of south Dublin yesterday resulting in the find.

A Garda spokesman said the resin has an estimated street sale value of €1.2 million.
