Man arrested as cannabis worth €450,000 is seized in Cork

A 50-year-old man is currently being detained at Mayfield Garda Station.

CANNABIS WORTH AN estimated €450,000 was seized by customs officers at an address in Glanmire in Co Cork today.

Approximately 33kg of the drug was found during a joint operation involving Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Cork Divisional Drugs Unit.

A 50-year-old man was arrested and is currently being detained at Mayfield Garda Station under the provisions of section two Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

Investigations are ongoing.
