Cannabis worth €1.3 million seized in Louth

Gardaí discovered the drugs in a yard n Termonfeckin.

THE GARDA NATIONAL Drugs Unit searched a yard in Termonfeckin, County Louth yesterday afternoon and discovered cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €1,320,000.

The search was done with the assistance of Drogheda Drugs Unit and was part of an on-going intelligence-led operation.

Two men aged 40 and 59 were arrested at the scene and detained under provisions two of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996 at Drogheda Garda Station.

The two men appeared in court today at 4.30pm.
