Two men arrested as gardaí seize cannabis worth €740k

A car and van were stopped and searched on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay earlier today.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED cannabis with an estimated street value of €740,000 in Dublin.

As part of an ongoing operation by gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, a car and a van were stopped and searched on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2 this morning

During the course of the search gardaí discovered approximately 37 kilos of cannabis herb with an approximate street value of €740,000, subject to analysis.

Two men, aged 30 and 48 years, were arrested and brought to Irishtown Garda Station where they are being detained under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
