Man arrested after cannabis seizure at Dublin port

The drugs were hidden in a car arriving from Holyhead.

GARDAÍ ARRESTED A 23-year-old man today after customs officials seized 1 kg of cannabis at Dublin port.

According to a statement from Revenue, which runs the Customs Service, the drugs were hidden in a car which had arrived on board a ferry from Holyhead.

Customs officials detained a 23-year-old Irish man at the port, who was later arrested by Gardaí at Store Street station.

The herbal cannabis has an estimated street value of €20,000.
