One arrest after cannabis seizure worth €100,000

A man in his 30s was arrested following the planned search at a premises in Portarlington, Co Laois.

ONE MAN HAS been arrested in Co Laois following a cannabis seizure worth as much as €100,000.

Gardaí at Portarlington made the discovery following a planned search of the premises late last night, and arrested a 31-year-old man at the scene.

A number of other items associated with the growth and cultivation of the drug were found during the search.

The cannabis herb has an estimated street value of as much as €100,000.
