€200,000 worth of cannabis seized, man in his 30s arrested in Limerick

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED illegal drugs worth an estimated €200,000 in Limerick.

The seizure was made at about 9pm last night at a property in Murroe in the north-east of the county as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the area.

One man in his 30s was also arrested in connection with the investigation.

“During the course of this search cannabis herb, subject to analysis, with an estimated street value of €200,000 was seized,” a Garda spokesperson said.

The arrested man remains in custody at Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick city under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

Investigations are ongoing.
