Cannabis worth €280,000 seized in Offaly

A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the seizure.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED cannabis with an estimated value of €280,000 at a house in Geashill, Co Offaly.

Gardaí from Tullamore and the National Drugs Unit carried out a search at a house as part of an ongoing investigation.

A grow house was discovered when Gardaí searched two sheds located at the rear of the house.

Gardaí say plants with an estimated street value of €280,000 (pending analysis) were seized and a male in his 30s was arrested.

The man being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Tullamore Garda Station.
