Cannabis worth €355,000 seized at Rosslare port

A man was arrested after the 59kg shipment was discovered inside a car arriving from France.

REVENUE OFFICERS SEIZED a large shipment of cannabis after searching a car at Rosslare port today.

The 59kg load of the drug in its resin form was discovered when the car was stopped as it disembarked a ferry arriving from France.

One Spanish male was arrested and is currently being held at Wexford garda station.

The Revenue Service said the search was carried out on foot of “routine profiling”.
