Cannabis worth €640k seized in Tipperary

A man in his 30 was arrested in connection with the raid in Nenagh yesterday.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED cannabis plants worth €640,000 from a premises a Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

Gardaí from Tipperary and the National Drugs Unit carried out the search at a premises at Moanfin, Nenagh on Thursday and discovered approximately 800 cannabis plants. The plants have a reported street value of €640,000, pending analysis.

A man aged in his 30s was subsequently arrested and is currently being detained at Templemore Garda Station under provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
