Dublin street reopened to traffic after earlier fire at restaurant

The fire happened in a third floor apartment above the Musashi sushi restaurant close to the quays end of the street.

GARDAÍ SAY CAPEL Street in Dublin’s city centre has been reopened to traffic following an earlier fire.

Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) earlier attended a fire at a restaurant on Dublin’s Capel Street.

At least one person, believed to be a woman, was injured and taken to hospital with a suspected fractured ankle. No serious injuries were reported.

The fire happened in a third floor apartment above the Musashi sushi restaurant close to the city’s quays.

The street, situated just north of the Liffey and close to O’Connell Street, is a popular eating area with numerous, mostly Asian, restaurants.
