Man (24) dies after car collides with wall

The incident occurred last night.

A MAN AGED 24 has died in a single-vehicle collision in Co Kerry.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal collision, which occurred on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road at Glenballyma, Kilflynn, Tralee, last night at approximately 9.45pm.

The sole occupant was a driver aged 24, who was fatally injured when the car left the road and collided with a wall.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Kerry General Hospital, where a post mortem is to be arranged.

The scene has been preserved. The road was closed for a period of time but has since reopened.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tralee Garda Station on 066 7102300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.
