Car and tram collide on Luas Red Line

Luas service was curtailed following collision in Dublin city centre earlier today as crash was cleared from line.

A CAR AND A LUAS tram collided in Dublin city at lunchtime today along the Red Line.

RTÉ reports that emergency services are at the scene of the accident at Blackhall Place.

Three people have been taken to hospital, two who were aboard the Luas and one from the car. It is understood they were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Following the incident, Red Line services were only running from Tallaght to Blackhorse, but the crash has now been cleared and full services on the Red Line have resumed.
