THE SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy who died following a road accident in Fermanagh has been named as Ryan McGovern.

The youngster was rushed by ambulance and police escort to the hospital following the collision but died a short time later.

The boy was from the Belcoo area and was a pupil at St Martin’s Primary School.

SDLP councillor Brendan Gallagher told the Belfast Telegraph that the child was “as good as gold”, having known him from Devenish St. Mary’s GAA Club and the Garrison Amateur Boxing Club.

The tragic incident happened at around 1pm yesterday afternoon on Lattone Road in Belcoo.

PSNI are still looking for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
