Car crash leaves four dead and one infant seriously injured in Wales

The incident involved a car, a van and a tanker. It occurred earlier this afternoon.

FOUR PEOPLE HAVE died and an infant seriously injured in a car crash in Wales.

Sky News and BBC News report that the four are thought to be from the same family.

The incident occurred earlier this afternoon just before 3pm, and involved a car, a van and a tanker.

Dyfed-Powys police say that the infant was taken to the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff and is in a “serious condition”.

Two men and two women were fatally injured.

The next of kins of the deceased have been contacted.

The road, the A44 between Llangurig and Ponterwyd, currently remains closed, and police are currently still at the scene.
