Appeal for witnesses to crash in which 34-year-old woman was killed

Gardaí said three people “may be in a position to offer information to the investigation team”.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for witnesses to a fatal traffic collision to come forward.

At about 7.20pm on 30 November a three-car collision occurred on the R198 route between Drumlish and Longford (near a waste plant). A 34-year-old woman, one of the drivers involved, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí said they are “particularly keen” to speak to anyone who may have passed the scene of the collision or offered assistance to the injured people, prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

In a statement, the Garda Press Office said three people in particular “may be in a position to offer information to the investigation team”.

Anyone with information in relation to the collision has been asked to contact Granard Garda Station on 043 668 7660, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
