Gardaí appeal for witnesses to crash that killed 84-year-old woman

The woman was killed when the car in which she was a passenger collided with a bin lorry.

GARDAÍ IN CO Wexford have issued a fresh appeal for information over a road crash in January that caused the death of an 84-year-old woman.

It happened at around 12.15 on the afternoon of Friday 16 January.

The woman was killed when the car in which she was a passenger collided with a bin lorry on the L8025 at Old Ross – around 6km east of New Ross.

The woman was treated in Wexford General Hospital, where she passed away from her injuries two weeks later.

The driver of the car was uninjured, as was the driver of the refuse truck.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact New Ross Garda Station on 051-426030 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
