Woman (25) dies after her car hits wall in Waterford

The crash happened last night and the woman was pronounced dead today.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for witnesses following a fatal car crash in Co Waterford.

At approximately 9.30pm yesterday a 25-year-old woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving struck a wall. She was the sole occupant of the car.

The incident occurred at a location known as Five Cross Roads near the village of Stradbally. The woman was treated at the scene by emergency services and removed to University Hospital Waterford where she was pronounced dead today.

The scene of the collision was examined by garda forensic collision investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic. The local coroner has been notified.
