Car driven through doors of fast food shop in Arklow

Luckily, no one was injured.

A MOTORIST IN Wicklow brought a new meaning to drive-through this afternoon after driving their car through the doors of a fast food restaurant in Arklow.

The motorist had placed their order before returning outside to wait in their car for the order.

However, the automatic Peugeot 206 went straight into drive and ended up inside the doors.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, but luckily there were no injuries.

A woman walking by as the incident happened said that she heard screaming before seeing the car crash into the premises.

“I heard a commotion and looked up to see the car heading straight for the door.

“I didn’t realise what had happened at first and it’s lucky really that nobody was seriously hurt,” she said.
