An overturned car on a south Dublin road ... But amazingly, the driver walked away

The crash happened on an icy road in south county Dublin.

DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE took the opportunity to issue a fresh warning to drivers over ice on the roads yesterday, as they posted the pictures below to their Twitter account.

The driver of the SUV walked away from the scene, the fire service said.

Meanwhile, the situation on the roads nationwide appears to have improved this morning, compared to recent days.

AA Roadwatch is reporting some black ice in the Carlow area.

The M50 is said to be particularly heavy this morning, following a crash.
