Looking for a new car, with no deposit needed? Personal leasing could be for you

Enjoy the new car smell without the anxiety.

IN TODAY’S MARKET, opportunities to get a bargain on a car in both new and second-hand markets are getting increasingly more scarce, and when coupled with rising costs in other areas such as housing and groceries, many eager drivers have been frozen out of the market.

For students or people who have landed their first job and might be worried about accommodation issues, the idea of cobbling together a large deposit for a car is simply unattainable, especially when factoring in the cost of skyrocketing insurance for young drivers.

Others who are looking for a temporary car as they have possibly moved to Ireland from abroad recently, or located elsewhere in the country for work. They may be put off by the lack of value in buying a car that they will then sell on at a reduced price when they no longer need it.

Such uncertainty over what should be an exciting purchase can often suck the enjoyment out of a traditionally joyous occasion. However, Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) is offering consumers the chance to enjoy that new car smell without the anxiety that comes with making a long-term commitment.

VWFS are now offering personal leasing, giving consumers the chance to pick their favourite vehicle from a range of 5 brands (VW, Audi, ŠKODA, SEAT, CUPRA), putting them in the driver’s seat with minimal fuss. The group purchases the vehicle on behalf of the customer, who then pays one monthly rental upfront in advance, and fixed monthly payments thereafter.

Those who avail of the offer have the option to pay up to 10% of the vehicle’s RRP which would then reduce the monthly payment. On top of that, no deposit is required, road tax is included, and customers have the option to add all servicing and maintenance costs to the agreement too.

At the end of the term, customers return the vehicle (subject to fair wear & tear), and can then upgrade to a new vehicle and commence their personal lease journey again.

Personal leasing from VWFS offers consumers a chance to get behind the wheel of a car that matches their requirements. They choose the brand, the spec, the mileage, and any other additional features, such as tyre protection and maintenance. All that is required in return is a simple monthly payment in exchange for driving in style on the customer’s terms. Those who avail of personal leasing can choose to divide their payments equally over any term between 12 and 48 months. Hybrid and electric models are also available, providing even more flexibility for the green consumer.

Those wishing to avail of a new car, but have cold feet over the long-term nature of the investment or  feel discouraged about accumulating a deposit, can learn more about personal leasing from VWFS here.
