Teenage boy dies after Carlow farm accident

Two boys were taken to hospital in a serious condition and one has since passed.

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has died in farming accident in Carlow.

Gardaí confirmed that the boy died after the accident earlier today.

A 14-year-old boy and his 15-year-old brother were rushed to hospital from the farm in Ballon just before midday.

Gardaí said the incident occurred on a beet field when a tractor and trailer overturned and went into a ditch containing water.

Both teens were taken in a serious condition to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny and the younger boy has since died.
