Carlow-Kilkenny fills two more seats

FIANNA FAIL’S JOHN McGuinness and Labour’s Ann Phelan have been elected to the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency on the 12th count. McGuinness got a total of 12,630 votes and Phelan got14,160 – both over the 12,291 quota.

Three seats are yet to be filled in that constituency. Fine Gael’s Phil Hogan looks likely to take the next seat while Bobby Aylward is likely to lose out for Fianna Fail.
