Woman and young daughter threatened by armed robbers

One man wielded a bar studded with nails at the house attack in Howth, Dublin.

FOUR MEN TERRIFIED a woman and her 8-year-old daughter this morning when they carried out a robbery at their home.

One of the men was armed with a nail-studded bar. Two of the men entered the house at Casana View, Howth, Co Dublin through the front door and two came through the back of the house at 9.15am. They threatened the mother, demanding money.

They managed to get a small amount of cash and took off with the household car. The car was found a little later, abandoned in Howth village.

Gardai want to speak to anyone who might have seen suspicious activity in the Casana View area this morning between 8.30am and 9.30am. Call them on 01 6664900 or the 1800 666111 Garda Confidential Line.
