Two men make off with empty box in Dublin cash-in-transit robbery

Gardaí are looking to trace the two men.

GARDAÍ IN DUNDRUM are appealing for witnesses after a cash-in-transit robbery earlier today.

The incident happened outside a bank at Carrickmines Retail Park just after 5pm this evening.

Two men armed with a hammer approached and threatened a security guard.

They fled the scene with a cash box in a waiting Toyota Corolla car, that was found burnt out a short distance away.

Gardaí said it’s understood that the cash box was empty.

There was no one injured in the incident.

No arrests have yet been made, and investigations are ongoing.
