Two men and one woman arrested over serious assault in Cavan

A man in his 50s is being treated for serious injuries after gardaí responded to an alert at an apartment complex at 3am.

THREE PEOPLE HAVE been arrested in connection with an assault in Cavan town in the early hours of the morning.

Gardai responded to a call out at the Stonebridge apartments in Cavan at around 3am, and discovered a 55-year-old with serious injuries.

He was rushed to Cavan General Hospital, where his condition this morning is now described as serious, but stable.

Two men, aged 25 and 55, and a woman aged 27 have been arrested. They’re being questioned at Cavan Garda Station.

The scene has been preserved as the garda investigation continues.
